Substance abuse is increasing in the U.S. amongst men and women, with a 42% increase in national overdose deaths from 2001 to 2014.

Some of the most widely used drugs include marijuana, alcohol, prescription medication, cocaine and heroin. The abuse of these common drugs cal alter a person’s ability to think and make judgement, leading to health risks, including addiction, infectious disease and death.
